Apparently MHP has ceased usage of the new 11 Codes....

These were being used in conjunction with the E-Ticket program.. but caused a lot of confusion. So it seems at least in most Districts the usage of 11 Codes has been abandoned.... Not sure if they still use em in District 1 (Troop C) for the experimental E-Ticket system or not.

11 dash codes

The 11 dash system was implimented by the former Chief and then for the last term of Governors office--the Commisioner of Public Saftey. He gave the patrol the blue and red stripes down the side of the cars which are the same as on our duty trousers. We are known as 'Red-Legs' due to the stripe.

I thought the 11 codes had something to do with the new CAD system. That's what a Troop D trooper had told me.

Yes the 11-Codes were implimented with the E-ticket system as per MHSP Spokesman Warren Strain. As of 01/01/05 these are only being used by Troop C/District 1 where the E-Ticket system is being tested. All other districts have discontinued usage over the air. Once the E-Ticket system is fully workable, and the newer CAD system comes online, 11-Codes will be used on the MDS's. This is still a long way from fully being used though, and a lot more work is needed. For one, more towers will be built, new UHF freqs added to the systems, as well as several other upgrades to the ancient radio network will have to be done. Part of the 22 million in HomeSec grants will go to this project which is just a small part of the future upgrades to be done to build out the State's wireless information network.

While looking for LTR Freqs for Forrest County in the FCC website tonight, I came across a data channel licensed for MHP Troop J - Dist. 7

460.025 WPZR843

With towers in Hattiesburg(Forrest County), Oak Grove (Lamar County), Waynesburo,(Wayne County), Foxworth (Marion County), and Leakesville (Green County)
It looks like they may already have it setup for Troop J.
And it looks like they have used existing state towers.
I have put the freq in my scanner to see if I hear anything on it.

If its for the new MDS/CAD system all youll hear is digital buzzing or encryption for a data stream.
