MI 800mhz skip

Picking up the 112 (DEC) Oscoda tower from St. Clair County right now on 868.8625mhz. Signal fading in and out.

Also getting the St. Helen tower 418 (DEC) on 868.2125, strong signal at the moment.

Now picking up Damon tower 117 (DEC) on 868.9125, signal fading in and out but decode-able with pro96 com.

Corrections Transport was up there today picking one up. Must have forgotten to switch over to State Wide 2

BBM, try my tower at 852.5125, 852.5375, Ann Arbor, if the Ottawa Co. Ohio EDACS system doesn't cover it up.

I had the same thing in Barry County. I could not get the Plainwell tower but instead was getting the Halls Corner tower which is farther. That tower is about 74 miles from me.

i also noticed this... i was on my way up to Roscommon tuesday evening and was getting the St. helen tower right around bay city. And that signal kept strong the whole way up.

I was just playing around with my Pro-96 and was jotting down some distant (at least for me) control channels i found. Surprisingly some were coming in very clear. Also, im Scanning from FARMINGTON MI. Some of these ive never heard come in clearly. heres my list...

01:52= MPSCS Macomb - 868.9875 - Very Clear Signal
01:54= MPSCS Monroe - 868.9000 - Very Clear Signal
02:01= *unknown* - 868.5125 - Faint Signal
02:10= MARCS, Ohio - 868.1750 - Very Clear (Officer mentioned "Pearl south of 71")
02:24= MARCS, Ohio - 867.9875 - Very Clear Signal
02:28= Cleveland OH MARCS- 867.9125 - Extremely faint signal
02:38= 3600 baud unknown - 867.8125 - Extremely Faint Signal
02:41= Srongsville OH - 867.0625 - Fairly Clear Signal

Im also getting a Sarnia ON VHF channel, and cleveland NOAA all hazard.

Looks like another good night of skip, Coldwater MI Tower 312(Dec) 868.400 coming in load and clear up here in St. Clair county. Also a couple Ohio MARCS systems frequencies coming in: 867.9125, 867.350.
