Anything worth listening to with MBPD and MBFD is "E". Maybe they are parking enforcement or some other admin.Nah definatly law enforcement of some kind. Talking about person with a weapon calls, and traffic stops.

Listening to the system just now at the time of posting, and noticed TGs 1603, 1605, 1607, all showing as unknown, were broadcasting what seems to be MBPD traffic.
Anyone have any info on this?

Those should be City of Miami PD dispatch talkgroups. Miami, Miami Beach and Hialeah can roam some talkgroups between the three systems.

Correct. ALL Miami-Dade County Police Agencies can switch between talk groups. EXCEPT - Aventura and Miami-Beach have to "allow or let in" those other PD agencies into their ""E" talkgroups.

The City of Miami, Miami Beach and Hialeah went even further with a Memorandum of Understanding to connect their individual radio systems so police and fire can communicate outside of their respective city’s coverage without changing radio channels, making it a regional-type system. According to this MOU, there are a number of select talkgroups from each agency’s system that have been pre authorized or set up to roam across the other systems automatically. So not all talkgroups roam. Miami’s system serves as the primary core with Miami Beach and Hialeah maintaining independent backup cores.

Miami-Dade now "Sheriff" No longer PD can also switch over on this system with there new APX Next. However, they are not in the MOU, and Miami-Dade Fire can now switch from there UHF Convetional right over to Hialeah or City of Miami Fire, on there APX Next. In April of 2025 (before I retired) I also had "rights' to MBFD "E" system, on the HAZMAT Unit's radio.
