Miami County P25

I need help figuring something out, I have got my BCD996P2 set up and running, but for some reason all I seem to pick up is LE-1, I am not hearing any fire traffic on the scanner at all.

Am I missing something?

Going to need more detail than what you've provided. What system do you have programmed? What talkgroups do you have programmed?

There is no P25 system listed for Miami County, OH. Are you referring to the Miami sites on
Ohio MARCS-IP: Multi-Agency Radio Communications?

Did you use software to program? If so, what software? Nothing locked out? The sites in Miami County appear to be simulcast across multiple towers so simulcast distortion may also be a factor.

If you are using ARC-XT, ProScan, or FreeSCAN programming software, please attach your file and I will check it for problems. LE-2 is now showing fully encrypted.

There is another undocumented site in that geographic area, Site 4.9.

Site 4.9 CC: 773.30625Mhz

Site 4.9 is a neighbor of 1.29 Eaton and 4.6 New Paris. Anyone near that area able to check for other neighbors?

Apparently they changed site info at some point in time....

This is the West Alex site for Preble County... It is currently listed as site 01.30 in the database; however, Unitrunker does not show it as this; it is showing a solid 04.09.

All frequencies shown in current database are showing active; along with three additions: 773.76875, 856.4625 & 857.3625...

I will submit at some point today/tomorrow....

I wonder what the purpose of changing the site number was then. Are they just now building out region 4, in the southwest part of the state? I wonder if 1.29 will eventually change for 4.?? as well.

They are complete here, with tower construction, as far as I know....

In all honesty, I never really paid much attention to the site "particulars" for this site. It has been labeled as "01.30" for as long as I can remember; and, I am not really sure who initially found the "01.30" info...

When I really started messing around with UT (a while back); I honestly just put in the Control Channel and ran.....
