Thanks for this.

I've given up and just program all Dade County fire frequencies as carrier squelch since they love to play Russian roulette with the squelch codes. I might get a bit of interference from paging transmitters here and there, but I'm guaranteed to hear all the fire traffic no matter what PL they transmit.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Frequencies Interference

Thanks for this.

I finally got settled in & set up my scanner which doesn't have PL capability & the paging signals are awful, I also hear some digital signals obviously from other areas since MDFR made it quite clear that they weren't having any of that, until I get a better scanner that handles CTCSS/DCS I'll have to deal with the digital stuff but are there any type of filters I can get to eliminate the paging signals?

When I hear Miami Dade assign Fire units to Tac-1 .....is this channel on the repeater - or simplex ? Has anyone been able to pick up the traffic from Broward County ? Thanks for any information. I will be visiting Sunrise,FL for a few days - and was hoping to monitor.

Also would like to monitor Broward County Fire Agencies.

The database page for Broward County trunked system has much of what you need:
Broward County Public Services Trunking System, Broward County, Florida - Scanner Frequencies

Fire Dispatch 1 now covers Sunrise, because it's their old fire dispatch channel.
You also want the 4 fire tac talkgroups starting in the block with 8496. You also want the 12-zone Joint Ops fire talkgroups for good measure, even though they sometimes use those as the dumping ground for training and special events. JOps 11 is used by the Fort Lauderdale Airport ARFF station 10.

Plantation is right next door so you might want to put their rinky-dink little system in for shizz and giggles.

Fort Lauderdale is on their own trunked system listed as site 4. You won't hear them on the Broward core site 1 except for the 3 police dispatch talkgroups.

Everything is analog.

Thanks for the reply .....

How close to Dade County will I need to be to receive North Dispatch and Tac-1 ? Anyone have any experience on these channels ? I assume they are on repeater. The site map shows a tower right on the Broward County border - not sure how accurate that is.

Thanks Again

I *think* the North fire repeaters are located at Pro Robbie Stadium which is right on the county line, but I'm not sure about that. You might hear them OK-ish on a portable, but they won't be booming in.
