Miami/Fort Laud NEWS Station Freqs??

Does anybody have the truck to truck and news chopper frequencies for:

WFOR CBS Channel 4
WTVJ NBC Channel 6
WSVN FOX Channel 7
WPLG ABC Channel 10

I do have the Metro Traffic Chopper freqs.

News stations rarely use those 450 MHz frequencies for their main communications anymore. They use mainly Nextel.

About the only traffic aircraft I know about uses 450.650. It is (or used to be?) Metro Traffic. Even their radio traffic is greatly reduced from what it used to be.

well..errrr...ummmm...kind of agree but not really....
I make my living by following news stuff. I feel that these 5 frequencies are critical to my getting info. WSVN is very useful, so is Sky 10. If i want a filler on a news item as its happening, i'm bound to get it from one of these freqs...why? all the choppers use them. and all the news stations are gaga for beating the other out. sure, nextel is a big player, but these freqa are still a VERY userful tool in the scanning aresenal.

Adam, if you make your living monitoring news frequencies, then you definitely monitor them more than I do!

I haven't really monitored them much in a long time, except for the traffic reports on 450.650, because the traffic on them is a fraction of what it used to be in the pre-Nextel days

You mentioned "5 frequencies", which 5 frequencies do you mean?

here is what i have:

450.150 wsvn 7 skyforce

450.6125 sky 10

450.5875 sky 10 ch 2

450.3125 cbs 4

450.1875 nbc 6

now...unlike nyc, these channels are NOT busy 24/7...matter of fact, mostly during dayligh hours with choppers talking with news desks about various stories...i never hear actual traffic reporting on these...

450.650 is still used for traffic reporting, but nothing like it used to be. You used to hear one report after another at rush hour.
