does anyone have info on this company?? i know the only site listed is barnegat nj does anyone have there other sites programmed in there scanners i'm mainly interested in finding the control channels for ac and neptune nj
MicTalk was originally Atlantic Coast Communications based out of Holmdel. The owner Mike Schmidt, retired and left one guy to continue as MicTalk. They have a statewide multi-site 500 mhz LTR trunked system in place. Try searching under Atlantic Coast and the old owners name. And I don't think they were affiliated with the other Atlantic Coast Comms down in south Jersey. (Pennsauken I think it was)
I actually called them several times a few months back to get a company air time on their LTR site up in West Orange. Gave all my information and never got a call back.
i do see several sites throughout the state as mentioned previous. i currently use them and was curious as to monitoring there other sites. e911god they have gotten alot better so if u didn't find a provider yet i defiantly try giving them another chance!! there coverage is superior to most radio tower providers in nj!
Here is the channel line up as programed in one of their CDM1550LS radios I had read
many years ago - i do not know if anything has changed since then. I do not know
where any of these repeaters are located.
11 of those channels are licensed at least at Belle Mead (Somerset County). A while back I worked on identifying the LCNs and only got two (502.8875 & 507.8625) but they do correspond to what Fineshot posted. All the talkgroups I caught on it back then started with 0, which has some significance (site/system number?) in LTR with the second and third digit being the home channel.
Here's the Belle Mead license list:
501.9375
502.2625
502.2875
502.8875
502.2375
502.8625
502.9375
506.3375
507.8625
507.9875
508.3375
