I was wondering if the milair frequencies such as 40.45 are in AM or FM mode?

They are on FM mode. In fact, when Battle Creek ANG was on 36 MHz, they were on FM as well. I could hear them just fine from here in Ann Arbor.

from an email I got from someone who I have been trying to get in this forum for awhile. Honestly, a big, major MIlair fellow in Saginaw county:

Absolute new frequency! 136.575
First time I've ever heard anything on here. I think it's that gov't band between comm air and the 138-144 milair. It was 2 fighters playing around for a couple of hours; "you do a wing-up right, and I'll do a wing-up left", "go into that hole"...
The reception was good, but I have a gut feeling they weren't in the Pikes. Any ideas?

I heard also heard that traffic on 10/02/07, it sounded like SEL aircraft over the Saginaw area, they were taking pictures of each other in flight. There was some military traffic earlier but it was the Chevy 21 & 22 flight, I also heard two unknown aircraft on 139.875 Mhz, air to air, passing over the area.

These frequencies were used over the past summe, some of them were for air show work.

136.575 Mhz Civilian Heritage Flight Aircraft traffic (Willow Run)
136.675 Mhz Civilian Heritage Flight Aircraft traffic
136.725 Mhz Special Air Mission (SAM) Aircraft
148.150 Mhz CAP repeater (FM)

Yesterday (10/4/07) I heard some milair traffic. Here is a log of it:

Callsigns heard:
-Tejas 22, 21.
-Piston 31, 32, 33
-Demon 11, 12, 14
-Also believe I heard a Yalta callsign too

Active Frequencies:
-143.925
-139.850
-142.2
-238.9 (AR632) Tejas pilot also talked to boom operator on this channel because the intercom wasn't working
-234.9 MOA Control

Area where flying:
-Pike East and West with AR taking place near Alpena at FL220

It appears that Tejas was meeting up with Demon to do some dogfighting. Tejas was the hostile group. The 112th FS said they had a RTB time of 0940 (they also said they could get there in 30 min from the north end of Pike West.

Tejas reference "Uniform 18" anyone have any idea which frequency this is?

Also I heard one of the fighters say "walk the dog" any idea on the meaning?

Anyone else hear this yesterday?

USCG Scramble?

FYI about 15 minutes ago, the Dolphin from CGAS Detroit escorted a fixed wing aircraft over my house. They were calling tail numbers out on 228.900. All I heard was the tail numbers and the the a/c wasn't complying.

Has anyone heard traffic asking the CG to scramble?

Wow! Any idea what it was all about?

I have no idea, so far there have been no stories in the newspapers. I was pretty shocked to see it because those kind of things don't usually happen in Lapeer Co.
