Please help me;

I live in an area where I can get strong signals from 4-5 state towers, I have

win96 and was wondering what the best way to program my pro-2096 would be, example, how to set up the banks, one bank for each tower, all towers in one bank? Suggestions please, and also how can I tell how strong the signal is from the towers that are coming in? I do hear some blops

I prefer one tower per bank to keep track of what I'm listening to. but everything is a persons preference.

I would suggest that you use seperate banks. The scanner will lock on to the first control channel that it hears. If the different sites use different control frequencies it may never see the control channel for the other towers.

With the Pro-96 you can force it to scan multiple control channels in the same bank by placing a FM mode channel between each one. This is how my radio is set up, although I originally did use the one control channel per bank method as well.

Either method works, but using the multiple banks method does require that you duplicate your scanlist to each bank each time you update your configuration.

I now have one tower in each bank and a couple banks set aside that have all the control channels in for traveling, seems to be working good, I hear a lot more, I have about a dozen talk groups to figure out though they are not on the list.
