ATTENTION DC METRO AREA

Looks like the three Salty's are headed home to Andrews from Asheville, NC RAP today. They're down by Lynchburg, VA at the moment.

SALTY AE6250 72-58562 B212

SALTY71 AE624E 69-7538 B212

SALTY72 AE624A 69-6668 B212

Mike
Comments funny here as once again mil chopper MUSL playing around airport departure areas.
This happened on May 26 at KPHL. Pilot needs to learn difference between Northbound and Northeast bound.

DRAGO51 | B-52H | 60-0044 south east of KADW, pretty rare seeing BUFF’s over here.

Looks like a low pattern for some reason. I do not see anything special about the area of the pattern. But the 52 did fly over Arlington.

MAGIC-01 Del ANG #93-1563 inbound KILG from PR.Shows as TREK-01 but on Castle Ops 343.000
as MAGIC-01.

Andrews has reactivated 89th MXM Maint squadron course my question is who was doing the SAM work before?
Ignore the 1969 date on article (DVIDS error) as was last week.

Couple Connecticut Yankee 103 AW C-130's coming down the coast.Like the Delaware ANG use newer upgraded C-130H models.

YANKE 48 #93-1457
YANKE 49 #93-1459

Vid of Del ANG #93-1563 into PR callsign MAGIC01. The 166AW has been gettting
more missions since switching to later model upgraded C-130H's Into Florida yesterday as TREK-01.
They waited on the vid for a follow me vehicle.:)

Also mystery? Gulfstream N450GA Lease not trackable on Flightaware.

PR PD Chopper N255PD is fairly new 2024 model Bell-429.
Mark

N450GA is still owned by Gulfstream Aerospace

Rocket science is not easy
Yeah am sure Space X engineers are saying we told you so Blue Origin with their highly powerful but explosive
liquid Methane and LOX mix.. On paper a good powerful system that doesn't need as many engines etc
compared to Space X Kerosene and LOX..
Setback for sure but that was impressive fireball like a atomic bomb. yikes! Glad nobody hurt.

India AF Delaware modded B-737 departs Dover tomorrow for first leg on way home..

Excellent log with timings and frequencies, much appreciated this kind of details Ed .... (y)

CUBE 41-44 departed from Burlington around 0940zs and were working Boston center on 135.700 at 0943z and
I lost them a few minutes later ...... Picked up BOBBY 91, a flight of six with Moncton center on 123.900 at 1023z.
Thanks Rene! Caught the second cell this morning as well. Here's my logs from recordings:

0944z 228.300 CUBE 41-44 A-A from BTV entering Maine. CUBE 43 and 44 will split off freq to their own A-A later in log.
0951z 371.150 BOBBY 91 and 92 A-A discussing boom freqs, altitudes, speed, direction, and changes in freq assignments.
0958z 378.200 BOBBY 92 and CUBE 41 coordinating rendezvous with tankers and pointing out 373.550 will be Primary Boom freq.
1001z 373.550 BOBBY 91,92 and CUBE 41-44 on Boom, Coordinating tanker and chick pairing, freq, and fuel status. BOBBY 91 will start AR with CUBE 41 and 42. Their AR started around 1010z.
1009z 373.550 BOBBY 92 and CUBE 43, 44 BOBBY tells CUBE to switch over to secondary boom freq 286..600
1009z 286.600 BOBBY 92 and CUBE 43, 44 on Boom freq. Set up AR, get BuNo's (only heard 43s number of 170577), 43 begins his first AR at 1014z.
1010z 258.900 CUBE 43 and 44 A-A

All comms faded out around 1025z from my location. That's all I had. No ATC comms which Rene had posted were VHF freqs I don't record.

Thanks Mark! Ouch! through the sneaker? Damn! I saw that on Scramble but wasn't sure if it was accurate. Thanks for the confirmation.

As a matter of fact, I have another MC-130 (11-5733) that just passed over my area (heard him) right now. Got ATC running both V and U but nothing yet.

Same thing, this guy comes back to 9th SOS out of Cannon too.

Update:
Didn't catch him on ATC but I did play BGR departure on LiveATC. Callsign was KNIFE 11 He was a single ship. After BGR, he went to ZBW 120.250

SAM-676 B752 #99-0004 looks inbound Miami area (Homestead?) from Andrews. Future Cuba mission?
Saw on news tonight for first time some Cubans and Yank Mil folks met in person just outside Gitmo.
Maybe sending some higher ups down there soon?
Just think how much aviation gas US mil could save in the future not having to skirt around that huge Island if
they get normal down there, :)

TEAM-75,76 KC-46's back inbound McGuire A/A 378.850
