Media reports have Air Force 1 arriving Harry Reid International Airport Tuesday, August 4, 2026 about 8:45 PM PDT
The relay audio on 228.900 is rough. Female voice, Huntress ground is somewhat distorted to me. Many repeats. I do like the relay though, did not hear ground station in past. I believe I hear background voices too. This is new. Lot’s of big numbers on gas being passed around, not FJ quantities either. No the AWACS is doing an airborne relay of the activity you hear on 260.900
Not only can you hear the ground side of 260.900 on frequency 228.900 but you can even hear BOUNCER 01 (the USCG helo as well).
Resync of radar with ground sites through HUNTRESS now that they are back in their orbit.I believe I just heard AWACS on 364.200 call bullseye with bearing speed and altitude of TOI.
Once the AWACS leaves the area - the relay will ( if my guess is correct ) will disappear. The background voices are the other controllers and staff at NORAD facility - just like you would hear at ARTCC. Basically the AWACS is dedicating a radio to monitor 260.900 and anything that radio hears is repeated on 228.900The relay audio on 228.900 is rough. Looks like change in times just posted so departing an hour or so earlier? Maybe inbound rain?Looks like POTUS AF1 backup is in the air, or possibly AF1 headed to KMMU

Calling out TOI tracks goes on all day long while the CAP is up.I believe I just heard AWACS on 364.200 call bullseye with bearing speed and altitude of TOI.
Was away from my radio for awhile but agree that the audio is not as strong as it was earlier today. The relay audio on 228.900 is rough. Female voice, Huntress ground is somewhat distorted to me. Looks like they are now on the ground at KMMU and I see N6NJ (NJSP chopper) was circling but now also at KMMU so I guess thats almost the end of the fun for the weekend.Looks like POTUS AF1 backup is in the air, or possibly AF1 headed to KMMU

228.900 really strong for me at the tail end of the CAP, hearing ground station HUNTRESS and WINK35 coordinating entering KIWIE AAR. Where are these ground stations usually based at? Never had this strong of a relay in the past few CAPs, SNTRY25 really helping out here. Was away from my radio for awhile but agree that the audio is not as strong as it was earlier today.

I think he was just referring to the AWACS coming back into the orbit - not HUNTRESS calling out TOI.Calling out TOI tracks goes on all day long while the CAP is up.

That is correct thanks. The operation today was very different from past CAP’s.I think he was just referring to the AWACS coming back into the orbit - not HUNTRESS calling out TOI.
They usually coordinate the sync ops on AICC 364.200 since it is a separate operation, I am guessing NORAD is blending the AWACS radar feed into the ground network so they do not miss anything.

They have been bringing the AWACS into the process with the CAPS for the stays at NJ residence. Probably concerned with low altitude threats under NORAD radar coverage. Only issue is that the AWACS uses a lot of fuel (older engines) and they have to be refueled in order to maintain that coverage. Not sure if this occurs or occured in Florida - but if yes then probably the same function. That is correct thanks. The operation today was very different from past CAP’s.
Heard the same - WIZARD also advised that they are showing multiple "friendly" or "neutral" tracks which NOBLE advised were showing as "suspect" in the cockpit (at least thats the way I understood, technical discussion traveling much too fast for my Railroad Brain). NOBLE stated that they were seeing multiple tracks yesterday outside the 30 but first time inside the 30.1615 EDT Well they are having a discussion between NOBLE and HUNTRESS about suspect tracks that HUNTRESS is not calling up to the fighters. The fighters asked the AWACS if they were sending TOIs and controller on AWACS confirmed they were not. So AWACS is simply operating in a passive mode feeding radar data but not interacting with the intercept process.
NOBLE told HUNTRESS - if we see something and you do not call it out - we are going to tell you about it. HUNTRESS is investigating
