President Donald Trump has directed contractors to redo weeks of work on his planned White House helipad, frustrated with its appearance and questioning whether the slope of the White House lawn needs to be changed, according to two people who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss his private comments.

Trump has made the helipad a priority, ordering that work begun in June be completed by a state visit in September, but was dissatisfied with the results, the people said. The White House’s South Lawn, where the helipad is being built, slants downward. Trump has expressed a desire for a landing pad that sits level with the horizon, prompting contractors to disassemble their work and consider whether to start by changing the lawn itself, the people said.

From Washington Post Firewall article
Uhhh, maybe I'm uninformed, but wouldn't you normally construct a helipad to be level with the horizon? You know, like a house foundation or almost any other significant structure  WTF does the slope of the south lawn have to do with anything?

Sometimes you get lucky and see a fighter jet on ADS-b Exchange. Here's "Joker" 169743 from VFA-34, supposed to be an F/A-18E, who took off from NAS Key West, and left his thing-a-majig on the whole way to NAS Oceana, where he laned a few minutes ago.

1349L- C-130J TEAL 58 (97-5304) up this way out of Keesler AFB, currently heading NE over southern NJ.
TEAL 58 came up to Portland, ME yesterday. Caught her on recordings today working Portland A/D on 269.350 as she was heading up along the coastline at low level then around Acadia National Park on her way to do some approaches at Bangor. She then returned to Portland where it's still parked on the MAC Jets ramp where my son works. Looks like a sight seeing/lobster run to me! ;)

Interesting.....went to the National Airspace System Dashboard....nasstatus.faa.gov.....Website unavailable. They're experiencing "technical difficulties" wonder if there's any relation to the ATC zero in Minneapolis or just system overload....or ???hack..... Curious.

Both KECK tankers belong to 22 ARW so maybe just headed home now seems A/R got cancelled.
Probably most of the 22 ARW are B-2 certified :)
