Yowsa, big pictures. Big signals. Sure looks like it's in your back yard. Of course, given your setup I'm sure you get 5 bars on your scanner from a pretty fair distance. Thanks for sharing.

When I scan site 13 as conventional I get 2 ch's from site 11 nothing saying 13. I'm about 8 miles south of Q-ville, will keep looking for DCC13.
I do get the con indicator but I think it's because of Rawlinsville. If you download that map and zoom way in You'll see Rawlinsville & Quarryville's Dots are on top of each other!! (Just doesn't make sense to me)
I wish MADRN would put up individual coverage maps for all the active sites, not just the latest & greatest..But thanks to Voyager Christmas has already come once this year!

Here's something folks can use in a BCDx36HP via Sentinel...

I can confirm that..

Site 17 is indeed on the air in Red Lion CC 454.2 MHz DCC 17
Site 22 is indeed on the air in Lancaster City CC 454.2625 MHz DCC 8
Site 11 has an active CC on 454.275 MHz LCN 5 DCC 11 which should be updated in the DB to a CC at some opportunity.

Not a peep from Site 13 during my expedition, "If" it's on the air it's not from Q-ville/Gap.
Unfortunately I could not get any LCN's confirmed. I guess due to lack of system activity on a Sunday afternoon on a long Holiday weekend...

Cheers..

I was tracking TG 4412 today and it made me look up Rabbit Transit.

There coverage is pretty good.

rabbittransit, a regional public transportation provider, offers a variety of transportation services to the residents of Adams, Columbia, Cumberland, Franklin, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Union and York Counties

Since I have multiple confirmed TG for this service, I will be adding a Rabbit Transit TG Category in the DB.

Sounds like said radio tech is looking for an easy exit strategy.

Is the radio tech suggesting that every LCN listed in the network map for every site is active? Or is he providing you a list of active LCNs? I hope it's the latter. If it's the former, I cry foul. On sites 1 through 10 alone, there are anywhere from 8 to 14 LCNs listed on those sites. I would doubt any one of those sites has 8 active LCNs let alone 14 -- that's 15-27 simultaneous talkpaths.

I asked him that, there future expansion when older systems are converted. So the repeaters must be in place. I hope he gets back to me, the info (if provided) could do us wonders...

I started the conversation with the intent of needing a multi county coverage radio system for a club..

This Radio system must be fairly new for Rabbit Transit. not to mention the scheduling software, some of these dispatchers and drivers are still learning how to use it.

Anyone know what there old radio system was?

Had on RT van in Northumberland Co today who was told to contact maint shop on the Maint channel, and she had no reply, so the base asked her if she was on the old radio or the new radio system, she was using the old for Maint. and she was then told to use the new radio system, thats how I found the Maint / garage tg.

They have apparently been on the PADRN for the past 14 months, at least.

Just heard a franklin co. Driver asked to go drop off his van and to pick up a bus at the shop, it just got the new radio installed...

A sheer guess, but they were probably on one of the gazillion LTR systems strewn throughout the state. Maybe an LTR system that wasn't documented, or a documented LTR system that nobody had discovered their particular talkgroup on.

Given the area that Rabbit Transit appears to cover, they would likely have had to make use of multiple trunked systems or conventional frequencies within the coverage area. I looked around in the DB [which I imagine you had already done], and I can't find any sign of them.

My thinking also Mike. Man these drivers hate the tablets and the new software... lmao, from reading, Franklin County PA transit ended last year, and now bus operations are under the RT Share a Ride program and the para transit is under RT para.

It seams Rabbit Transit is absorbing all of the smaller counties transit systems. This radio system is perfectly suited for them.

I hope the deletion of site 11 lcn 1 454.28125 was because of other info besides my post, I was just noting that 454.275 was currently the control chan. I know they can change from time to time. I don't think anything should be changed in the confirmed RRDB until it's confirmed by boots on the ground..

http://forums.radioreference.com/mu...-connect-plus-system-141-a-7.html#post2785554

Site 17 Should be relabeled Red Lion York Co.

And He did say not all are even equipped, just possible future provisioning.

That's a VERY important point, and one I made in my post. NONE of these frequencies should be assumed to be on the air, but used as a reference to evaluate if they are on the air.

Just because a radio is programmed with a given frequency does not mean it will be assigned that channel.

Consider the map as speculation, and last I knew RR would not post speculative data.
