Ok so this is interesting, 464.075 is showing up as CC0, CapMax L1-43. Neighbors are 40, 41, 42, 44, 45, and 46, with 46 being the only giving a valid LCN (3057) and CH ID (6115). Checked it several times and got the same thing each time, only way I got any decode was holding a small 6 element beam out the upstairs window, any (even the slightest) change in height or direction from the one sweet spot I could find lost it.

IT is very likely that the weak decode caused the L1-43 . You said 464.075 -- did you mean 454.075 ? The neighbor list sounds correct. So don't worry about seeing the L1. I'm sure it was just a poor decode given the situation. What is great is that you got the neighbors.

You decoded it correctly, and is interesting. @hundeesport412 also decoded it last night during some tropo. Probably a 22 db SNR signal. Same thing, L1-43 with the same neighbors. I think somebody at Centre fat fingered something. I'm sure your DSDplus is reporting properly.

I'd anticipate down the road it changing to L8. I think the Centre folks should read our posts :)

BTW there apparently was some tropo from Indiana Co to State College this morning. Might be a little tropo in other parts of PA. Of course, the lighter/later it gets, the less likely you'd see it.

Don't forget to revisit sites that you've copied before, to see if any of the neighbor list information has changed.

Here's the latest.
Cornwall was today
Reeser's tomorrow and something about a mountain. ;)
MADRN are aware of something screwy with NL. :D

Site 12 Cornwall/Lancaster PA (Penn Twp) WNST294 2.2 32/36 NL

What I think is York, may actually be Red Lion
TBD... Headache.

Also 27 is referred to as Quarryville.
I think I heard Cornhole for Cornwall 😆
19 might be Honey Brook.

I'm getting a different NL from Site 4 at every run. Sometimes 3 shows up, other times it doesn't. So yeah, if I'm ever in the Reading area (assuming this is indeed where the site is) with my SDR and tablet I'll give it a run up there and hopefully have a more accurate NL...

Catching some tropo DX now & with that an extremely weak control signal from 454.16875, CC0. My first thought was Red Lion, York County PA but Brent seems to believe 461.475, L8-28 might be correct for that site. I'll let the SDR sit on it overnight to see if the signal improves. Not making any promises...

Well this is interesting and a bit unconventional (in more ways than one). Came across what I thought was a new CAP+ system but it's bursting away as L8-4. Was able to observe the repeater ID itself, WPRX690 which would indeed place it in Reading (Birdsboro) The control data at 454.24375 is still evident although much weaker than the data bursts at 461.900. Updated NL for Site 4 is below

L8-27 originally listed L8-28 CC as 6087 (a 454 mhz freq). It was a few days later that it was discovered to have changed to LSN 1839 (461.475). So at some point it was a 454 freq. And maybe it is toggling back and forth. Of course, I don't know that 454.16875 necessarily corresponds to LSN 6087.

I certainly would have expected L8-36 (New Holland) with NL: 12, 18, 19, 21 to have L-4 Reading as a neighbor, and for L-4 Reading to show L8-36 as a neighbor. So that's a bit intriguing to me.

Can CAP Max TIII have a beacon CC similar to a CAP+ Rest Ch?

It appears L8-27 is doing just that, moved to 461.075 after my last post and currently is still pulsing. DSD+ continues to indicate TIII with same unchanged neighbors.
IDK..
L8-36 has returned from isolation. No other changes of note.

DSD+, Group File. I am trying to clean out some of the dead groups and they seem to just come back . I tried to delete them using the edit tab, then save the file. I also tried "REplacing them" under the edit as well. Am I missing something that they keep coming back?

Close the program(s), then do the edit and restart.
That usually corrects the problem.
