Mark, I show both 298.65 and 293.55 as "Have Quick II" frequencies. My source was the IRAC (predecessor to NTIA) database in the 1970's and more recently confirmed on RR. Have Quick Channels
Thanks Larry! Coms were different than say a regular trunked radio system that maybe changes freqs between
mic keyups. This system seemed to change a couple seconds after each voice com actually started but did notice the freq carrier stayed
open prior and just a sec after switching so made me think this was a Have Quick system.. Will have to program a bank someday
of those freqs and see it work :) Very rare these days. hearing them.

12.50 local have a aircraft divert Brickyard 4418 on 129.400 caught tail end has braking problems
so will burn fuel to get lighter and divert to Philly as they have a long runway we can use without popping too many tires.

That RPA-4418 doing loops in Delaware getting his weight down.Poor pax thought they would be in Asheville NC by now. :(

Do they (more or less) have to be over the sub when they do that, or does it have a wider range.
The range is quite long I hear. Ultra low freq say 18 KHZ carries a long way. We had monitor here who lives in Kentucky
and he could pick them up signaling in digital of course but he could hear the data signals from offshore Atlantic to his home.
One time I heard E-6 from Pax River say wire won't retract so he finds an open ocean spot and cuts it loose :)

13:18 EDT Yeah heard the pilot on 127.700 (where they currently are with Washington Center). Was actually outside working.

The brakes are "on" so they basically are locking the main wheels - once the aircraft hits the ground all of the main wheel tires will burst (since they will not be able to roll freely).

Rgr Terry just heard them on 127.700 say will be ready to go in 15 min.. Philly airport will be rolling out
the fire trucks for this one.. That E-6 is gonna come close to it passing by also on 127.700 looking for T+G at Dover.

Terry educate me is it true that most airliners apply brakes after takeoff so they are not rotating in wheel wells?
So 4418 did that but has signal brakes are still locked up?

13:37 local Brickyard 4418 cleared to Philly.

13:48 PHL Tower 135.100 reports to 4418 no smoke seen off tires :)
13:51 4418 says can taxi and cleared to taxi but hold short runway 9.. Thats good news.

1425 - F/A-18 passed over KNFE Fentress from west. Never seen them do ops on the weekend, especially not Memorial Day. Any idea where they came from?
Funny as up this way on tape 1425 local sounded like KNIGHT-81 flight of 3 on UHF Center at FL210.
Maybe Vermont F-35's? SJ F-15's? Seems a lot of fighters hopping around today.
