Earlier this evening AZ ANG K35R TEDDY 11 departed KBGR to AR with 3 B-1s, callsign sounded like THICK (?) 11-12-13. All 3 B-1s ended up turning around and RTB to Ellsworth.

LiveATC Gander Center

There is another AZ ANG K35R TEDDY 12 also staged in KBGR. So maybe another B-1 mission coming up, or they try this one again ?
Nice catch! Thought that AR-20NE Res I posted was odd.Seems was a Reykjavik and later rtb mission.
AR-20SW Res 1800z-2100z up now showing same altitudes FL-150-FL280.Not sure if this was for the
original mission and they left it up or somebody else coming back West this afternoon.

VA ArNG helos. I think that ROGUE are H60's, possibly 2/224th Avn. Pretty sure that LEGEND is medevac...maybe H72's.

73/Alllen (N4JRI)
Thanks.

Check out this STARS TG (this recording unfortunately only scans the NoVa sites). Seems like a state-wide channel for tracking of DMA/VANG aviation resources. Appears that the RRDB label is inaccurate, if anyone has info on the correct AlphaTag/name for this channel, that’d be much appreciated.

A few days ago:

No more C-2s on the West Coast. At the bottom of the article it notes that the Greyhound will be used a few more years on the East Coast. However, I talked to the pilots at the VAW-120 tent at the Oceana Airshow, and they did say that the preparations for the CMV-22B are almost complete, though it doesn’t seem like the apron heat treat or taxiway expansion outlined in the proposed action has been started yet.

Sad to see this. I was thrilled to have a chance to photograph a Greyhound along with a few Hawkeyes when I was at NASA Wallops Flight Facility earlier this year. They were doing repeated touch-and-gos for hours...

NASA used a C-17 to fly that comet sample from Utah to Ellington Field Texas this morning.
RCH-347 #99-0166. They put probe in Nitrogen flow container for decontaminant purposes.
Signature Flight Service for C-17 refuel.. Lot of Pax and luggage :)

Tried out my scanner again today - listening to FCLP. Squelch was all the way down at 2 and I was close enough to see the pilots' helmets, but all the transmissions sounded clipped. "Roger, ball -- manual", "--'re on glideslope", etc. Still using the rubber duck and the scanner was upright on the ground and not moving. Is that just a product of the helmet mics or is there an issue with my equipment? Any help would be appreciated.

I did get a picture of a Hornet with all its drop tanks, despite my camera refusing to focus in such low light.

Clipped transmissions at the beginning of a transmission are usually going to be a function of either the scan or the squelch not opening quickly enough. For the former, you can park it on the primary FCLP frequency. For both, there should be settings you can adjust to help the sensitivity (depending on your scanner model).

I will say that a rubber duck antenna will never perform as well as a mobile or base antenna. That is likely the main source of losing bits and pieces of the conversation.

1313E: Foreigners landing at ADW? Two thick accents now on 118.4. C/s is [Unintelligible] 0601.
1316E: Now two TIS-Bs. The other c/s is [Unintelligible] 0603.

Update: apparently It's the Italians. ADSB briefly showed a IAM0602, so I assume it's a flight of three (at least).
The 3x Tornados came back east yesterday, stopping in Pease for fuel.
