That seems awfully high.... Whats the possibility the altitude encoder is wrong?

I thought so too. Could be bad encoder but in this instance the readings were consistent. In the past, the Langley T-38s all seem to have accurate encoders.

Earlier I thought KG sounded like they were saying KANG but now it sounds like it's actually KING. LiveATC Audio

My guess is the KG02 altitude is some sort of glitch. Appeared to be in formation with KG01.

Yep, it was 348.1 Had them on 2 receivers. Had freq in there because it's also Ops freq for 27th FS at Langley.

You sure because I have 341.800 as 27th FS Ops. So I guess new frequency for OTIS A-A = 348.100?

You're right. The 27th freq is 341.8. I transposed the numbers when I put it in my scanner Got lucky with the hit on Otis.
