Yep - handled very well both by flight crew and ATC. Engine failures occur - could even have been some FOD that finally broke loose - won't know until the SDR and incident report is posted.
SAM000 & VENUS44, both hdg S @0930L from ADW.
EIDER32 01-0193 C17 (I believe Charleston bird) currently on the ground at ADW scheduled to go to RDU to pickup leftover pieces from POTUS visit.
Must have been a test run as both went to Outer Banks area then turned around and coming home.

Agree. Probably either maintenance check flight or pilot evaluation/proficiency flight. Curious they would use SAM call for such a flt.

Sometimes hear them refer to TIMBER (Link Sys-16) being Sweet or Sour.. Sweet meaning good coms data and Sour meaning no or poor connection.
NOBLE's playing with their Air/Ground Jackal system on A/A 376.175.
Loaded up Ocean City and it locked up so had to reset.. Seems they are in bad com area between DC and A/C.
Have heard complaints before down there.

Yeah a bit too much information in the PDF but Chapter 3 has the terminology more usable for us

Usually stated as "Jackyl Sweet" or Jackyl Sour", meaning connected/not connected
There was a 182 character message broadcast at 08:29 UTC, as well as a 108 character message broadcast at 17:27 UTC.
I've heard 108 character messages before and 142 characters are relatively common when talking about long messages, but I don't know if I've ever heard a 182 broadcast before.

Seems VFA-147 is aboard as well.
There are plans that VFA-147 will undertake a cruise with an Atlantic Fleet Carrier Air Wing before being transferred to Carrier Air Wing Five at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. This will make the squadron the first forward deployed F-35C squadron in the US Navy.
