1337L - AIRCRAFT 8887 performing an HF ops check on 11175. LC from MAINSAIL.
1522L - 8DF (Eight Delta Foxtrot) on 11175 calling ANDREWS GLOBAL for a radio check. No response.
1556L - 8DF picked up by ANDREWS and request QSY to 15016. ANDREWS counters with 11056. Since this was on recording I didn't get the QSY.
1758L - Tail 0023 calling MAINSAIL for radio check. No response.
Hr,

Since you're down in the Tidewater, you might try 7535.o USB. Used by Norfolk & Mayport SESEF facilities. Usually checking/testing voice & some CW/data for various USN warships.

Not "Mid-Atlantic MilAir" related but......

I caught a flight of two C-17 transport aircraft out of Andrews AFB over Southern Ohio this morning heading west to California for Biden's visit there.

The aircraft were ............
DEED 208......C-17 (07-7188)
ELDER 22..... C-17 (08-8204)

The aircraft were heard talking air to air on 319.400 MHz which is a common air to air frequency used by Air Mobility Command aircraft

Well they departed Andrews so yes it is related and it lets us know to monitor that frequency next time they depart or arrive in pairs or more together

@1100L Guard 20907 (UH-60 Black Hawk 16-20907) made a full stop @KRDG. Before landing was asked for r/c 243.0 both L/C.

Even though off topic, but since it is in the UHF mil band:
As per my rxing in the 250 - 300MHz band, WBFM, on the recordings from last nite heard on 265.500 "blue tooth mount" & "low voltage" then music for a few minutes then the signal drops out. Could I be hearing blue tooth comms? Thought they would be digital, and they are in the 2.4 - 2.483.5 GHz band (images/harmonics?). Also heard about a 7 min phone call on 263.100, just one side, female in mobile; when she hung up music came on for about a minute then signal dropped out. Music for a few seconds to a few minutes on several other freqs I listed earlier.

Richard

Those sound like the usual comms relayed by the DOD Satcom satellites in those frequency bands. I have noticed that since the DOD has started a bit more activity on the satellites - the illegal users are shifting to splinter channels....so instead of 265.500 they will use 265.5625 etc.
The satellite basically repeats what it hear sso what goes up on the uplink comes down on the associated down link frequency - in this example 265.5625.......they could be any where in Central or South America. A lot are from Brazil ( truck drivers too ) if memory serves me correctly.
