I was playing with my scanner early this morning and caught what sounded like a local shuttle bus asking the dispatcher about the train schedule to pick passengers up from the train station, referring to Edison RR station on 853.7125. It was a TRUNKED system and it seemed to be connected with 853.1125 and 853.3875. According to the FCC database, all of these frequencies are listed as Middlesex County Govt. Operations. Also, they seem to be licensed to several other frequencies too including 851 - 853.0125, 851.175, 851.425, 851.5125, 851.925, 852.5125, 866 - 868.0125, 866 - 868.175, 866 - 868.425, 866 - 686.5125, and 866 - 868.925.

I'm sure that the shuttle buses don't use/need ALL of these frequencies, so does anyone have an actual usage plan that indicates with TRUNKED system is used by which services? I didn't see anything relating to this in the RR database and felt it was something interesting and worth discussing.

Thanks Jaymatt! You've been very helpful. However, I couldn't locate any of the 860 Mhz frequencies that are alocated by the FCC mentioned in radio reference. Is that because they don't currently use them? I'm away from my scanner right now, so cannot monitor until later tonight. Thanks again.

Middlesex County has just finished phase 1 of their rebanding. John Buricelli's excellent site has the most up to date info on what just happened. 861+ frequencies are no longer in used on this EDACS system. The Talk Groups posted here on rr.com are correct and unchanged.
