Middlesex County P25 Trunking

Drove along Rte's 1 and Rte 287 this afternoon, and couldn't lock onto the Middlesex Trunking system from my Unication G5. Through parts of Edison, Metuchen, South Plainfield & Piscataway. Anyone know if the system is down. Locked onto the Woodbridge trunked system almost to the South Plainfield/Edison border

Are there a lot of cell towers in the area?

That’s strange I drive those areas frequently and don’t think I have ever lost signal, do u have every freq. programmed in ?

Like Mdsxfire stated above, make sure you also have the 800 MHz freqs listed in the database programmed in. The County added them to the rotation a few months ago again as part of the expansion into the trunked system.

Yes, the 800 freq were offline for a while, I was told they were doing maintenance or upgrading the radios in anticipation of putting them online with quite a few larger towns migrating to the system in the nearer future, I have not seen any of the 800 freq used as CC on the days I have checked but with Harris any one can be used as the CC.

82 is a patched TG, i thing it is another Mercer county TRS patch from the station numbers and streets, the 19xxx should all be sayreville TGs

TG 82 is patch to MCNR1 Mercer County North Response 1 which is the primary for Princeton, Hopewell, Lawrence, and Ewing.

Right click on the file and send it to a compressed (zipped) folder. Click on Attach Files and open the zipped folder.

In the P25 Trunking System Setting, the Middlesex Site List has the decimal value of 10 for the RFSS ID and Site ID instead of the hex value of A.

The county wide fire has been steady keyed up on the TRS since last night. The RID is from a patch mostly likely from a uhf radio
