Middlesex hospital paramedics

Not really a radio question.... Im sure someone on here will know the answer... Middlesex hospital paramedics I see the tahoe's a lot.. How does it work when they respond to a call or intercept? Does there car get left on scene? Is it someones job to just drive the medic cars back? How does it work? Thanks

When I worked on a medic unit like this 1 medic would ride in the ambulance and the other would drive their vehicle to the hospital or if it was serious both medics would ride in the ambulance and one of the ambulance crew would drive the medic vehicle. Leaving the vehicle at a scene would delay the unit's return to service time.
I guess you have never watched the TV show "Emergency".

Depends sometimes it gets parked and the ambulance has to go back and drop off the medic.Sometimes if the Ambulance or Fd has an extra member they will follow the ambulance to the Hospital. also seen times were the ambulance returning with the medic will respond mutual aid to another town on there way back.
