I have the Middlesex county p25 system programmed into my 536HP but I rarely have a signal to a control channel. I have the system on ID search and even then I get maybe 4-5 transmissions over the course of an hour. My squelch is on 5 and antenna length does not change reception. Is it possible I would need to upgrade to SD200 due to simulcast issues?

Yes, you have a simulcast distortion issue. Only way to get around it is to upgrade to a Uniden SDS100/200 model type. I had the same issue when the 436HP first came out. Watched Unitrunker on the County TRS while the scanner was on and missed a good number of transmissions.

We use the system for out FD, I have been monitoring it with a G5 for over 2 years with not a single issue, I tried scanners and for the $$ they didn’t perform how I expected. My G5 has no issue with LSM and decides perfectly every time.

My G5 handles Middlesex perfectly. Knob 4 Zone 4. Take a peek at this loaded G5.
