I couldn't figure out where to ask these 2 questions so I hope this is ok.

The Midland 70-2371 base station mic has a 6 pin plug but why does it only have 5 pins?

Will this base station mic work with mobiles with a 6 pin plug?

The middle pin is missing...it's not used. This mic was produced for only 1 Midland model, the 70-463T mobile that covered 450-494 MHz, had LTR trunking with 100 talk groups and 50 system capability or could have 100 conventional channels and was 25 watt output. That radio was actually manufactured by Uniden and is the same as their SMU250KTST radio. I just ran across your post while I was looking for more info on the mic.
