Midland WR-300 Weather Alert Radio for $43.21

I am interested in buying a weather radio and have seen good reviews on the Midland WR-300. On Midland's website, they sell for $89.99 which was a little pricey for me, but on this site here they sell it for $43.21.

Circuit City also has it for $44.99 I just saw here.

Since there is a large price gap from the manufacturer's site to these, I was curious about ANTOnline (want to make sure they are legit and all).

do you really need an AM/FM clock radio in the same box?, for a few dollars more in some cases less like $29.99 for a WR100 the best I have found to date.
battery backup and no AM/FM clock radio.
