For anyone interested regarding frequency 150.150 AM - I looked back at my source list (The Spectrum Monitor Vol. 5 No. 1 Jan. 2018 MilCom) and noted that Larry Van Horn also had this frequency as:

Air-Air: AETC* 14FTW T-38C Columbus AFB MS

No logs to report but made at least a minor improvement to my "in town" antenna system. Still using my old discone indoors but I replaced the coiled ~50 foot RG8-X feedline (PL-259 on one end and an RCA Male PLUS RCA Female-to-BNC Male ADAPTOR on the other end).

I was able to upgrade to a 10 foot LMR400 feedline PL-259 to BNC, no more adaptors. Cable barely reached but it reached and with a little bit of reorganization it will be more than adequate.

I don't expect a quantum difference in reception but we'll see, maybe slightly noticeable improvement toward 400MHz. It's the principle...I know there's a ton of discussion about top-notch RG-6 being effective...but I was a circuit board test engineer in a not-so-distant prior life...tough to break old habits.

10:57am CDT 358.800 Callsign sounded like DEED 69 calling Hardwood for radio check.
11:31am CDT 358.800 Same, but stronger, callsign sounded like DEED 69 calling Hardwood for radio check.

I'm not confident DEED is correct but it was something that sounded like DEED.

I suspect "Hardwood" is range control? Can anyone tell me if I'm right? I don't remember ever hearing Hardwood responding to calls but this time I could hear them...weak but fairly readable.

Didn't see any matching callsigns on ADSBx in my area but maybe I have to zoom out a bit and look further away.

Edit: Hmmmm...no way did I hear HOOLIGAN but it sure sounds like bcast and I might have heard the same comms. I'll have to listen again to see if I can pull HOOLIGAN out of that...

I cranked up the volume into my headphones a bit more.

I definitely hear HOOLIGAN 69 on 358.800 at around 11:40am CDT calling Hardwood for radio check.

The ~10:57am transmission also could be HOOLIGAN 69. I also hear Hardwood Range Control acknowledging HOOLIGAN 69.

There is one fairly strong and clear transmission at around 11:32~11:33am that sounds like a different callsign. Instead of DEED 69 though, I think now it sounds more like DUDE 69. The voice sounds the same (or very similar) to the HOOLIGAN 69 voice.

I don't know what to think about that...I definitely hear HOOLIGAN 69 in most of the transmissions but that one sounds like a different callsign but possibly a dual callsign for the same airship?

Alright, I'm convinced they are all HOOLIGAN 69 now, no DEED or DUDE. Thanks bcast for just coincidently posting earlier at nearly the same moment I was posting...

Edit: Chuck (in Detroit) had a couple of HOOLIGAN 99 logs in Michigan Military Activity forum (posts #3098,#3127) around early August timeframe. Looks unid there too but the context of what else was going on might offer clues.
