Here is what a couple of hours with a PRO-97 netted this morning:

MAKO flight working Boston Center on 257.85, 323.0, 381.4, and 257.925

MAKO working CRAZY flight on 295.8 (AR-631)

MAKO interplane on 140.2 ("Button 8")

MAKO flight working Bradley Approach on 125.35 and 325.8

CRAZY flight working Boston Center on 257.85 and interplane on 138.525

JAKE flight working Boston Center on 257.85 and 3232.0 enroute to R-5201

unknown on 139.0

If any experts can tell us who CRAZY, MAKO, and JAKE are, that would be great!

You heard a little of three different units....

CRAZY F-16, 158th Fighter Wing, VT-ANG Burlington
JAKE A-10, 104th Fighter Wing, MA-ANG Barnes
MAKO A-10, 103rd Fighter Wing, CT-ANG Bradley

Thanks for the IDs! It's more fun when you know what kind of planes are being heard.

Provide me an email address Dave and I'll send you a list of New England area callsigns since that's what you seem to be hearing from your location.

I have heard the callsign "CRAZY" a lot. I'm on the MA/NH eastern border. I have heard CRAZY1,CRAZY2,CRAZY3,CRAZY4,CRAZY5.

Not sure what type of aircraft though. I can't find this callsign anywhere. It was a training missions I know that much.

**** update: I have confirmed "crazy" as a callsign used by F-16's stationed at PEASE in NH. ****

FYI Dave, the A-10's from Barnes enter New York around the Stephentown area on their way to Ft.Drum..I'm sure you've probably seen them over the Troy area...
