Which Mil Air Frequency ranges do you think we will catch some activity on today?
Also will I be able to pick them up with just my small telescoping antenna that came with the scanner (BCD996T)?

Its a NORAD exercise so I would try the common NORAD freqs, all are in AM mode.

I did pickup voice conversation on 271.0000 more than a few times yesterday. That was the first I heard on this frequency. Did anyone hear others?

271.000 should be BIGFOOT / NORAD.
Duluth MN, F-16A’s, changing to F-16C’s. Now getting Block 50's?
148th FW, 179th FS. The BULLDOGS.
Heard these call signs while monitoring at Duluth,
DINO, LAKER, SPAD, WOLF, & ZIPGUN.
GUNDOG, used at Hardwood Range. FROSTY used as a
travel call sign. POLAR, then VADER, used for D.C.
CAP. MUSKY, & PIKE, used over Detroit, & Chicago,
CAP’s. Unknown, FLUG, ML, & SNOWMAN?
This list is old. I don't remember the last time I've been to Duluth to see if these are still correct.

It's easier to program most commonly used freqs in the radio, 20 UHF, & 20 VHF, than to manually enter each freq every time you fly. The F-16's will mainly use UHF to talk to Ops, clearance delivery, ground, tower, app/dep, MN.C, & the MOA's, or Hardwood Range. They mainly use the VHF for A/A chit chat. Also makes it easy for us to follow them when they say push BTN 5. As long as you know what BTN 5 is. ;~)
I should've left off the HF freqs. Only some of the F-16A's could do HF. They now fly the F-16C's.

Watched 4 A10s fly into the storm front earlier today here at work. Didnt have the wide band scanner with me - darn all the luck.
They were pretty to see cruising over Uptown Minneapolis this evening...
