10:14 311.0 Cobra-72 RC-135 55th Wing, Offutt AFB, NE
with Raymond 21. need bottom loading bus and have a few write-ups that needs attention.
Needs to get back up in the pattern asap

Brian

COBRA 72 (OC-135B, 61-2672) was at Wright-Patterson over the weekend...wasn't around for the arrival or departure, but I noted it on base the evening of 5/24. Also had CAMPA 14 (E-4B, 74-0787) arrive 5/21...I think it departed as NOTTY 87 - was logged over Kentucky today using that callsign.

BOLO 72 (E-4B, 75-0125) was here 5/19; landed shortly after VENUS 07 (C-20C, 85-0050), and met them on the runway to pick up a few pax. Departed to Offutt after that (the C-20 returned to Andrews).

Hey Stummej,

It Would All Depend On Who And What You Are Wanting To Hear. There Is Always Multiple Freqs Used During A Flight Like, ATC (Chicago Center), AWACS, Air To Air, Base Tactical, MOA Freqs, Etc. It Doesn't Look Like Any MOA's Are Active This Weekend But You Can Still Sometimes Pick Up Transit Aircraft On Center Freqs, Dispatch, Etc...

If Your Looking To Hear The Hawkeye's When They Are Active, The Best Thing To Do I Have All There Freqs Programmed. You Can Find Them Here Eastern Iowa Milcom - The RadioReference Wiki Remember They Have To Talk To ATC On There Way To Howard, Volk, Or The Most Used Crypt MOAs. You Can See If They Are Active At Special Use Airspace & Air Traffic Control Assigned Airspace If You Go Back Through This Post, You Will See The Most Active Freqs In The Iowa Area

I Hope This Awnsers Your Q

I am Brian from Des Moines and this is my first post in the IOWA room.

I like the military and air freqs. And yea I know it was illegal but it was downright entertaining back in the day listening to the cellular band.

The Hawkeye's where in Howard today, I really need to get a scanner that gets the 138-144 mhz band in AM mode, I'm missing a lot of a2a. Here is the recording http://vang6414.fileave.com/New Wav.wav

http://vang6414.fileave.com/new wave2.wav This recording Ends in static after Hawkeye 34 says "standard formation", i ended up getting interference, but there is some unknowns at the very end

Get ready eastern Iowa, western Illinois! Its airshow time at KDVN, The Quad City Airshow! Going to be a great show. I'll be there with my camera both days if the weather holds up on Sunday

stummej : I checked my recordings, and didn’t have anything from the Waterloo area at that time. If memory serves me right I did have Chisel calling Waterloo tower several day ago.

From yesterday: LOBO 01 called Wright-Pat Metro for weather for Andrews at 1600Z. Position given as 80 miles north of Patterson, FL290.

We (guys in the Milair IV thread) thought it was a SD ANG aircraft, so I guess I have my answer now (someone had said it was a C-9, but I was pretty sure the pilot had a mask on). Stop on over and join in the discussion: http://forums.radioreference.com/maryland-radio-discussion-forum/129788-sticky-thread-milair-iv.html

I'm going to put up your post about that Thunderbird IFE there...good catch!

138.450 and 138.350 with Rock-32 and Darkstar this morning. No location heard, but the closest active MOA would be Falls / Volk.
255.400 with Pat-675 heading to Andrews 11:19 am
