From Bowling Green, KY 04/04 about 2125cdt

E6 Mercury TACAMO over the house at FL310 flying a racetrack pattern from BG to about 60-70m west and back. He is only doing about 290kts. Had a visual on him as he made the right turn. I also have a open carrier on freq 365.000wfm. Here is the RadarBox info. Now over the house again this time he is 414kts. See also attached view of RadarBox.

Anyone got any info on any exercises going on at KHOP or vicinity. I have a CHAIN 78 and a SHADOW 91, both C130s at 2800 and 3000msl, squaking 1200 on the RadarBox so VFR. No voice heard. Both in the vicinity of KHOP and BWG?

The HAWG's were probably the ones i heard earlier before i had to go to work, unlike a lot of people. HAWG 01 was a flight of 5, these guys took a more southerly course and HAWG 21, also a flight of 5, which took a more northerly course. And guess what? They look like the 188th FW Hogs are now C's as they were chatting UHF for a/a and UHF for ATC/ Looks like the Hog drivers are now utilizing the UHF band rather than the older VHF a/a.

I missed the JEEP flight leaving. I was probably still sleeping. Do you know which restricted area they worked? It sounded like they were going to split up & work different area's. On the way back DEMON 11 was talking about trying to find a tank in a very large field with no other points of reference. So the ground controller used the cloud shadows as reference points on the ground to help him find the dirt colored tank on the dirt colored field. Said he nailed the tank with his first rocket.

Thought I saw on TV one time that Fort Knox has a live fire event that the public can watch once a year? I wasn't able to find anything about it on the internet.
