Hi

I live in Ulster county New York and was wondering if anyone can guide me to military frequencies in my area?

New to scanning.

Thanks

Anything in blue or underlined is a link...

Ignore the ATA100 listings, and go to the RCAG listings below it. Concentrate on the UHF (225-390 mhz) area. It's also just possible that you might pick up NJ ANG units flying up into the ops areas in the New England area...

And I wouldn't ignore the NF2G website either...

http://nf2g.com/scannist/index.htm

click on 'Frequencies' (on the left), then 'Statewide' (in the table), then 'Transportation' (on the left), then 'Aircraft' (in the table), then 'Air Route Traffic Control Centers' in the links. There's also quite a bunch in the 'Government' area.

You didn't say what you were using for equipment - but this is one game where a little duckie on a handheld isn't going to cut it. A discone or ScanTenna mounted nice and high is the ticket here.

Thanks for the mention.

Also, Stewart ANGB is in Orange County. I have listings for that under Frequencies -> Orange -> Government, scroll down to Military.
