I don't know if these were/are helicopters, they are active in the area.
317.8000 Indy App/Dep
141.6000
139.9750
139.0500
139.6250

What I would be doing if I lived in the area is some searching with all the damage at Atterbury, they have got to be talking about it on their new frequencies.

Who is they? the Military?
The new tg's really aren't active here in Johnson County yet. I wish they would hurry up and switch so I could get a confirmed list going.

no joy

I got a call from a spotter telling me they were so low near the St. Fairgrounds @ 1542 she had to stop an outdoor phone call.
Several passes and I had all the Shelbyville freqs in and going along with International but I was kinda doing work so I may have missed them.
Newsalan, did you actually hear anything today on those listed?

I have confirmed from Indy TG's 39840, 39808 and 39936 but none of it was airwork. Flooding assistance earlier in the year.

WISH says they are Marines doing the training. 26 sites in Indy offered for use. No wonder my Guard freqs were silent.

I'm Sure you have already read

From the Indianapolis Star.....

Vic Ryckaert
IndyStar

U.S. Marine helicopters will land at the old Eastgate Consumer Mall,
Brookside Park and other Indianapolis locations when the city becomes
a mock battlefield next week.

About 2,300 Marines from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, based at
Camp Lejeune, N.C., will conduct urban warfare training from Wednesday
through June 19 in and around Indianapolis.

Most of the troops will be deployed at the Indiana State Fairgrounds
and the Raytheon facility on Holt Road, said Debbi Fletcher of the
Indianapolis/Marion County Emergency Management Agency.
"We don't want anyone thinking that there's an invasion happening or
that we declared martial law or something like that," Fletcher said.

The Marines have been cleared by state, federal and local authorities,
Fletcher said. The unit's commander promised to try to keep noise to a
minimum and give neighbors plenty of warning.

"Our aim in Indianapolis is to expose our Marines to realistic
scenarios and stresses posed by operating in an actual urban
community, thereby increasing their proficiency in built-up areas,"
Col. Mark J. Desens, commander of the 26th MEU, said in a statement.
"While some of the activity will take place around Camp

Atterbury, residents in many areas can expect to see helicopters
flying overhead, military vehicles on the roads and Marines patrolling
on foot," Desens said.

The Marines will practice firing weapons, conducting patrols, running
vehicle checkpoints, reacting to ambushes and employing nonlethal
weapons, according to a statement.

In addition to Eastgate and Brookside Park, Indianapolis offered the
Marines 24 other training sites, including Raymond Park Middle School,
Ellenberger Park, Christian Park, Southeastway Park, the old Bush
Stadium and Douglass Park.

However, not all cities are so open to the training. In February,
after first canceling scheduled training, Toledo (Ohio) Mayor Carty
Finkbeiner invited the Marines to train in the city, but outside the
downtown

area.

I did not get a chance to listen yesterday. The day before all I listed were active.
You need to do a search range or limit search.

The old listed frequencies are mostly wrong, or at least I never pick up anything on them.
Uniden close call will work if you can see them and they transmit. Otherwise searching si the best way to find new frequencies.

It is, actually 138.7125
"Logistics" Don't know of a better label yet, and CTCSS 151.4Hz

Maybe that will help eliminate some of the interference.

That's Awesome. I am about 10 miles from Atterbury and that repeater is solid. It must be in Atterbury.

It is! There are several more that I could not ID or did not have tones on them.

I posted them a while back in one of the Atterbury threads. One was the new range frequency. And one was the FD frequency, but I heard no traffic on it.

Of course now they are busy with "relief" efforts. But when I was up there watching the news, portables looked to be VHF or UHF.

Also, VHF low band might be a good place to search.
