Anyone know what frequencies I should enter in my scanner to monitor military aircraft from the Indianapolis area? Thanks.

Indyscan used to have a good MilAir section. Did that stuff get moved over here somewhere.

Here's a few:

370.85 Chicago Center Hilltop MOA
350.35 Hilltop MOA Coordination
383.30 Atterbury Reserve Forces Traning Area (this was active yesterday)
139.75 122FW Fort Wayne "In-Flight"

Try a search of the 138-144mHz range in AM mode you should find plenty of tactical air to air stuff. Also, let them do the work for you. Alot of times they'll tell you which frequency to "push" to. If you need more I can try and post a file.

Thanks for the information, ISP911. Yes that would be great if you could post a file. :D

ISP911,

I see that you live in Bourbon, IN. My wife is from Wakarusa, IN and we visit her father in Wakarusa frequently. We pass through Bourbon on SR 119 on the way to Wakarusa. Bourbon is a nice little town. Welcome to the board.

Also, you are monitoring Camp Atterbury from Bourbon? What kind of receiver and antenna are you using? Thanks.

Thanks, I just moved recently from Lakeville and Bourbon is indeed nice. I do my best to keep it that way. I use a BC-796D and BC-780 mobile and at home with just the stock antennas for now. You'd be surprised how far a/c comms will travel. Yesterday, I'll admit I was mobile between Warsaw and Ft Wayne when I picked up 383.3. Also, to anyone following this thread that monitors milair; while at FWA I picked up a 122FW F-16 calling RAMROD on 289.3 (122FW CP). RAMROD answered loud and clear so I'm assuming this is a base call. Has the 122 changed calls? I thought they used to be SNAKE PIT or some such.

Thanks
