Milwaukee Co. Zoo new frequencies

Greetings, the Milwaukee Co. Zoo has added and changed around some of their frequencies last year and well, now I have a chance to share.

453.525 PL 123.0 Security/Operations
453.250 PL 173.8 Animal care and buildings I believe that this frequency replaced 453.9125
453.825 PL 146.2 Vendors/Concessions
452.6375 PL/DPL ?? Admin/Events

All frequencies are NFM and use a repeater. I will submit to the database.

So the zoo frequencies that I had posted earlier this year have recently switched from narrow fm to a digital mode that I can't monitor with my current scanners; possibly DMR?

Just a followup, I was by the zoo area today and heard them using DMR on 453.5250 (cc: 3).

It’s showing Capacity plus on my SDS100 on the DMR frequency does that mean it could be trunked?

Yes; showing 453.525 color 3 as Capacity Plus channel 3/4 with talkgroups 101, 102, and 103.

I got the same I had my SDS100 with me and got the same talkgroups in use and heard traffic on 453.825 with a color code of 3 FCC licsense doesn’t list it as a trunked system though
