What is the plan for Greenfield Fire and Police when the official switch to OASIS occurs?

Will they be using OASIS as their primary system, with WISCOM being backup?

Just curious.

I heard Greenfield would be one of the last Public Safety to get on OASIS, the first quarter of this year if I remember right. OASIS will be their primary, I guess WISCOM would be their back up. It was in the common council minutes, but I don't know what the meeting date was to go look.

Ultimately, Greenfield police and fire will be on this joint radio system with all of the other agencies in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties. Public Works and Parks will stay on the old City of Greenfield system, which is still operating.

Greetings...

Is it just New Berlin? Is this going to be a 'cold turkey' type cut-over (No patch to WCTRS)? If so, I wonder how its going to work with WCC since they share a channel/talkgroup with Butler PD.

Remember when it was announced that several Milwaukee County agencies were going to 'Cut-Over' to OASIS, but it was only patches connecting MCTRS with OASIS.

Perhaps “transition” is a better term than “switch”...

According to the City of New Berlin Emergency Government Facebook page, city departments will transition over to OASIS on 4/12/18 and it states that police and fire will transition in the coming months

North Shore police dispatch announced this morning to all north and south units that the county would be taking down the analog patch to the radio system as of today.

Hey guys I used to be into scanning a long time ago (20yrs) and am getting back into it. Wow have things changed. Ive been reading and sorting things out the best I can. My scanner arrives today (uniden bhp436) I wont have an issue programing it with my comp, at least I dont think so :)
I'm in Tosa & of course would like to listen to them. Doesnt seem to be an issue, Milwaukee police however seems to be digital if I read this correctly. Does this mean its a no go for scanning?
luv2ride_hd...your new uniden bhp436 should allow you to listen to just about everything you want to on the new Digital Oasis system, for both Milwaukee County & Waukesha County. As for the City of Milwaukee, it operates on a system which is internet based called OpenSky and can not be monitored with a scanner. You will need to download the Uniden Sentinel software if you want to program your 436 with a computer, or purchase a 3rd party programming software.

I have the 436 and love it. You’ll get nothing on Milwaukee police and fire. Sheriffs you get some.
