While I don't have a frequency for you, I can give you some insite on how they work. We had some here locally for a police department I worked for and the siren's radio receiver was set to monitor the fire channel and we used a DTMF keypad to enter a code to activate the siren and deactivate it or set the operational modes.

Joe, good to hear you're still hunting sirens..... Wish I could say the same for me.

Try listening to 453.375 locally. Should hear the familiar ASC Compulert sound there.
Probably the only place you'll get a decoder for it is ASC themselves though.

If that fails, do a search on the FCC site for MILWAULKEE, COUNTY OF as the licensee name--- this will at least narrow down what frequencies you need to put in the scanner.

In Huntington Co, IN, we use our county fire freq (The same freq we dispatch the volunteer departements on). The sirens just have another A-B tone differant from the departments. Maybe listen to your county's fire dispatch freq whenever they do their periodic test of the sirens. If you find the freq you would also have to find the tone they use also. If your county even uses this method. Good luck :)

I have 7 sirens now and will have my Federal modle 2T on top of the building for 2006 hooked to a AR box for now. I will listen to 453.375 on test day and see If I can hear them send the tones I dought ASC will sell me a decoder

You may want to call the entity who sets off the other sirens in the county, such as an EMA, and talk with them about that.
