Hey Gang,

I have the Mine Hill FD Repeater frequencies from the database in my older scanner and cant say ive heard much. unfortunately my scanner does have a PL/DPL search. The database doesnt list a tone. Does anyone know what it is by chance? the Frequency is 453.775. TY!

You don't need a PL or DPL to hear a particular jurisdiction. If you put in no tone, (CSQ) you will hear everyone on the frequency. So if your in range and not hearing anything, you may have the frequency programmed wrong or the totally wrong frequency in the radio. I'm not familiar with them so I can't confirm the frequency you have posted.

I’ve only heard Mine Hill on the County UHF foreground and that was a long time ago.

Ive heard Mine Hill on County Fire ground also. I believe it was #2. The reason i am looking for either a PL or DPL is there is some other faint traffic on that frequency and also i get local noise most likely from my computer. With a tone I can leave that channel in scan and hopefully hear something.

If you look at the UHF license detail under WQFL786 all 4 frequencies listed including the FB2 (Repeater) the output is only 6 watts!. Also depending on what type of antenna and it's gain. From what I see in the data the transmitter in not at the top of "Mine Hill" but more on its western slope. I would assume this low power UHF repeater would have enough coverage to cover units within the town itself only.:coffee:
