In the past I had a BCoFD low band which i programmed 1500hz/800hz warble tone to open the pager for the obvious reason a box alarm or rescue box. I am now helping out a friend and he has asked for Balto.City fire dispatch 154.415 to be programmed in his Minitor 4 VHF to alert for the same , the warble tone. Is Balto.City Fire's warble the same HZ as BCoFD's or are there some slight variances in HZ's ?

It should be the same as they both use Motorola consoles. The warble is Alert 2. http://brics.butlersheriff.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/ALERT-2-TONE.mp3

I'm very curious, what tone format do you use, standard A - B tones ?

I used the R168 user selection format with A&B tones .The A tone was adjusted on the pager to 1513.5hz and the B tone was adjusted to 788.5hz. The minitor 4 allows a larger spacing then the older minitor 2 filters. The minitor 2's allowed a max of 2.5hz in either direction. Since the Minitor 3's and up receiver boards are different which is why it still works 13.5 hz outside the actual tone of 1500hz.

I got them in as Motorola 1513.5 & 788.5. Now it's the waiting game

I've had limited luck getting any sort of tone decoder to activate on BCFD's 154.415 with the warble tone. I suspected that it may have had to do with them using a PL, and their transmitter being sub-par, but they did upgrade the transmitter for narrowbanding. Please let us know if you have success. I did see in another search result on this forum that the tones are 1500hz/900hz.

Another post mentioned 1500hz 900hz. Give those tones a try. My cps for minitor 3/4 auto corrected the tones even in user 168. If i could post a video on here i would to show how the pager should activate. I tested the tones via a 2way radio on low power and used a recording of the alert 2 which is the warble. The pager activated. Im hoping its just the B tone needs to be adjusted. Unfortunately i am unable to test unless i am at work. I live way to far outside bcfd frequency area. i remember a few months ago a broadcastify provider had a minitor V with audio hooked up to alert into there feed. it auto reset and then the digital trunking tkgp's took over. I wish i knew who that was to ask how they programmed there pager.

lastly i know the pager will pick this up. when i had my low band for BCoFd it worked great. This should work. just have to tweek it.
