Minnetonka FD dispatch

Tonight when minnetonka fire did there all call pager test at the end the dispatcher said this: you will be recieving another all call pager test from Hennepin county?

does anyone know why Hennepin county is doing pager test for minnetonka?

Hennepin is the backup dispatch for Minnetonka. I recall when Minnetonka was switching over to Narrowband for paging they were told to switch there pagers to Hennepin main for paging for part of 1 day. Sounds like they can go to Hennepin main for a tower failure and Hennepin PSAP can dispatch them if there is a PSAP failure at Minnetonka.

That, my friends, is great fault tolerance/disaster recovery. Somebody was thinking ahead of the times.
