So the Miramichi Fire Department are now on the new MPSRN and I have been monitoring them since the change over. I was told that the "talkgroups for FDs under the Miramichi PSAP are between 53184 and 53206" as told by another thread however they have been using 53318.

Maybe they are still testing out the system , I have monitored the Bell techs on DEC 40 all week working on it but the page outs and talking is on 53318 . If anyone else is in the area listening to digital I like to hear your thoughts on this as well.

Here is an overnight monitor of Digital in Miramichi City NB the highlighted one is the FD all others are Ambulance .

Could have just been as simple as a spacing issue. Here on the island FD's that use MPSRN were originally assigned 487xx talkgroup ID's but now they started assigning 485xx ID's. Could be another reason behind it but that is what I'm guessing. Having them in their own "block" would allow for future expansion if needed.

If you submit that Miramichi talk group to the database I can get it added for you.

I want to be sure of the talk groups being used first before I submit them, but yes I will do that once I can confirm they are done testing and will be the ones used all the time . Thanks

@rclegion This is interesting. See below the ranges of TGs for NB Fire Departments that I have in my notes. You will noticed TGs 53217 to 53241 are not assigned to any FDs. I don't have any TGs above 53316. Maybe they decided to assigned a block of TGs to the Miramichi FD but I would be surprised since it is not a very big FD. Keep us posted!

Paging is still done on the conventional frequency 153.770

Fredericton PSAP Fire TGs: 53000 – 53063

Moncton PSAP Fire TGs: 53064 – 53119

Saint-John PSAP Fire TGs: 53120 – 53183

Miramichi PSAP Fire TGs 53184 - 53216

to confirm: 53217 - 53241

Bathurst PSAP Fire TGs: 53242 - 53276

to confirm: 53277

Edmundston PSAP Fire TGs: 53278-53315

NB Provincial Fire TGs: 53316 (Airports)

For your information, TG 53193 = Blackville FD. This is the only FD under the Miramichi PSAP that I can confirm.

You asked "Paging is still done on the conventional frequency 153.770" The last three call out and on-scene chatter was all done on DEC 53318 771.05620 .
That is why I say they still are testing the system as they been having problem with it working and 53318 must be a testing freq for them. I have heard Bell Techs working on the system now for two weeks on DEC 40 and they seem to be having an awful time of it .

I will add that I am on ID search for the FD just in case a new TG comes up but as of right now all fire stations in Miramichi City and Sunnycorner FD are using TG 53318 ,

So for those of you interested the TGID for the Miramichi FD and surrounding area is still a work in progress however Channel 14 TGID - 53198 will be Rogersville as I have heard them testing on this TGID . As you can see from my ID Scans the 53184 channel 0000 - 53216 Channel 32 with main dispatch on 53318 Channel 33 . We are waiting to see what other agencies take up there TGID such as Sunny Corner and Bay Saint Anne . I currently have a live feed of these TGID as well . Screenshot (21).png

Good to see you are keeping on top of it. As you discover users, feel free to submit those talkgroups to the database.

Well an interesting thing happened last night. We show that Miramichi FD and surrounding FD should be using TGID 53184-53216, and we know they are currently dispatching and truck to truck communications on TGID 53318 last night. Dispatch talked on TGID 53319 and the Firefighter came back and said they were on the wrong channel.

Could it be that the TGID for this area have been changed? Is there a way to see it on a Gov website?
TGID 53193 = Blackville FD is still being used .

Every once in awhile Dispatch here will accidentally leave the Fire Dispatch channel selected when they are also paging out/talking with an EMS unit so we can hear it on our radios. Something similar likely happened.
FD's think Dispatch is on the wrong channel, but actually they are talking on both channels at once because they have multiple channels selected on their console. Just a simple mistake.

No where that I know of online that list talkgroups. PEI and NB won't even publicly list their fleet maps, unlike NS which has them freely available. PEI Government even declined a FOI request for them.
