I believe this is the old site in Long Hill. It seems as if something is on the air in the area.

I wonder if it was moved to a temporary location. Morris experts? TIA

As was discussed in the thread about the upcoming Morris 700 cell, the Long Hill site is being relocated to a site on Mountain Ave in Somerset County.

Yes I recall vividly🤣. I was wondering if in light of that sites removal, that a temporary 05 SOW or something was erected in its place. I suspect I may have to see for myself. But who knows perhaps someone will chime in, or perhaps you just made it perfectly clear😳

I just opened NJICS on UT. I am finding numerous 1430xxx using it to cross into MIRS.

My suspicion is Long Hill is using NJICS 07 & 21 as mentioned by @RadioDitch to supplement coverage lost by the removal of the site in Long Hill.

Occam’s Razor.

That's not my understanding of the reasoning why the patch was instituted by Union County RCC, but it's possible I'm misinformed.

Actually makes sense, for both reasons. Interop and coverage. It IS the Wild West on the overnights. No question.

Without some infrastructure on the East side of ridge, LH can’t possibly get HT coverage in building in town from Randolph. Creative way to get two birds.

So, out of curiosity, what were you told was the reason for the NJICS- Long Hill PD patch?

I am still receiving the Morris Co MIRS P25 system , on their own system, with the same signal strength from the Long Hill site, from here in Southern Bernards Twp.

Streamline interop/sitrep with Berkeley Heights/New Prov/Summit due to a number of factors for the time being. Patch has been up since spring. But again, as reliable as the source is, it's possible I'm misinformed.

Long Hill RID’s on NJICS along with this announcement. All units switch to MIRS to hear a BOLO stolen car. It’s wrap. ICS until new system is up. Amazing no latency. Audio quality outstanding.

I was up in Randolph (33) area today. 4175 was active there too. Makes for (7), (21), (33) all active with this TG.
