Mishawaka - St. Joseph County SAFE-T Net

Hello everyone,

I noticed that St. Joseph county is going to start using the Safe-T net system. I also noticed that Mishawaka PD is is not a part of the Safe-T net project but is using a very similar system.

Does anyone know if the radios of SBPD, SJCPD will be programed with Mishawaka trunked system as well for Inter-Ops?

Where did you see this in the data base? I see that they are putting up a new tower but that could be to handle the overload of traffic on the tower thats already up. The jerks that run South Bend now are talking about laying off forty police and firemen because of money problems real smart of them. If they do go to SAFE-T it would all haft to be payed for by grants. The way they talk to each other now is through dispatch or if they hear traffic on scanners in the cars they will call dispatch and tell them to let Mishawaka know they can help.

The radios of SBPD, SJCPD will NOT be programed with Mishawaka trunked system as well for Inter-Ops I believe. One can hear traffic during ND games on the St. Joe County Safe-T channel 5 already. Marshall County is also being heard recently on the Safe-T system.
