missing AC on 8843u

I have been listening to SFO ATC on 8843u they have been trying to reach AC N7321Q, a cessna 182, since 1800utc-it is now 1842utc and still no answer. I have been watching flight aware and it seems his position isn't changing. ATC tries for him every 10 minutes or so.
When I first started listening at 1805 ATC had a United flight try to raise him on another frequency to no avail.

ATC attempting again to no avail at 1902utc. I have to go out now if anyone else can monitor this.

I'll track the flight online and see if it moves at all. No radio here at work.

Thanks Nick-ATC finally got hold of N7321Q so he is ok, but they haven't established two way comms with pilot. They keep asking him for his true airspeed and he won't answer. I hear the pilot-sounds Asian-he keeps calling ATc but when ATC answers he apparently cannot hear it.

Speaking of range, I'm wondering how they even get there? FA says the flight is 2,361 miles ...and a C182T's range is just over 1,000 miles. I guess he's got a lot of extra fuel on board?

Also, on the FA site, you can see his speed spike (very rapidly) for few minutes. I wonder what happened there. Enquiring minds want to know!

I guess they retrofit the aircraft with additional fuel tanks for the ferry. But man, 15 hours in a Cessna 182 - ouch.

Well, he's probably not nervous but yeah 15 hours is a long ride. I think he's happy the weather is quite good and since he's flying low he doesn't have to worry about the jetstream.

Wow, 15 hours staring out of a window at nothing but blue ocean. I hope he has an iPod.

Yeah and the reason why he seemed to not advance any on the tracker is his speed was a whopping 135 knots. I agree man-cessna-not over the ocean.

From what I've read these ferry flight always have a two man crew. There is no way it is safe to fly the ferry flight by yourself. Anyway, if I was the pilot I would be a nervous wreck during the entire flight.

Wonder where he's going after Hawaii? I'll listen for his rego on the SPAC SFO frequencies (8867/13261) Any small aircraft in NZ have usually been ferry-flighted around the western Pacific rim, although some will go south from HWA to Samoa or Tahiti. The corporate jets of course can just follow the MWARA.

FYI the aircraft N7321Q was heard on 13261kHz w/ San Francisco this morning. Not sure of destination, however it looks like he was diverted on 26 Feb 2012. Originally going from Hilo to Pago Pago, they diverted to Christmas Island (Kiritimati).
