Missing Boy
Lakewood boy missing near Fremont-Teller line

An 8-year-old boy who disappeared while on a camping trip near Canon City remains missing.

Evan Thompson, who has attention deficit disorder, was last seen Saturday morning in the Cactus Cliff area near Shelf Road.

It's an area where there are some steep, limestone cliffs.

Six search and rescue teams have been helping search for the boy along with members of the Civil Air Patrol, Langely Air Force Base, and the Colorado National Guard.

Doesnt seem to be any good news..lets just pray he finds his way out. I have been in that country up there, it is rough to say the least. Every kind of wildlife and terrain imagineable. Very sad..

Good chance he may have fallen off one of the many cliffs as well. Guess it's called Shelf Road for a reason. Sounds like CAP is reducing the staffing there going to send to tomorrows search and have not heard about ARP, Alpine, Rocky Mtn Dogs, El Paso or Teller.

Lost Guy can you receive MRA simplex from your location?

Additional CAP resources enroute for tomorrow along with CSRB resources from Montrose, Vail, Aspen, Frisco, Boulder and more being requested but sounds like CSRB is getting pretty slim.

Also rumor is CSRB has an assigned talk group on DTRS but I have not located it yet.

Yes units that were enroute to the search area were talking on id 1222.

Reporting tonight on the news that they are still finding fresh tracks from the boys Superman Sneakers.

All ARP units staying for search tomorrow, possible that a few others head down and be there by first light tomorrow. I believe Alpine is staying as well minus a few that have to return for work.
