Hi,

I am using Sentinel v1.02 (Revision 1) on a MacBook Pro with Parallels VM using Windows 7 Professional SP1 to program a 536HP.

By way of background, our city (Toronto, Canada) is about to launch a new 700Mhz P25 Phase 2 system with 4 sites. The police, fire and EMS will be migrating from their existing 800Mhz Type II system and has some of the TGs patched between the analogue and digital systems. In the case of police they are planning to be encrypted, but fire and EMS are going to be digital, but in the clear.

The system can be seen in the RR db at: Toronto Public Safety (Project 25) Trunking System, Toronto, Ontario - Scanner Frequencies

I am able to create favourite lists for fire and police and they transfer to the scanner without any problem, but for some reason when I create one with EMS TGs it does not show up on the scanner.

Any thoughts on why this could be?

Thanks in advance.

Was the EMS group set for download on the Scan Selection tab of the profile?

Check Service Types

Hi,

Thanks in advance.

When you say it doesn't show up in the scanner, I presume you mean you are not receiving them - correct?
Go into your profile editor, select Service Types, and make sure all applicable are checked. In my profile I have all checked. This feature allows you to load the entire database, and selectively monitor the type of activity you want. When I first started using the 536 this drove me crazy. Hope this solves your problem.

And make sure there is a location set for them. If they have an "empty" location, technically the radio believes they are at latitude zero, longitude zero - off the African coast.

Thanks for the suggestions.

It looks like it was the Service Types, but it also looks like the SD card is now acting up.

It seems to be scanning the existing Favourites that have been written, but now the card is not recognised when I try to update the Favourites.
