At about 1:35pm today, I walked in my house and caught the tail end of something on the SouthSTAR Frequence.
I heard REMMS saying to I think SouthSTAR that " All Atlantic City heard was 'Engine Failure' and then it disapeared from radar"
Something like that. Then what I think was SouthSTAR or one of the other medevac's said, "Still searching, nothing yet".

I was just wondering if anyone else heard anything about this.

Location: Area Surrounding Hammonton Airport, 75 Academy Dr., Hammonton, Atlantic County Event Description: The NJ ROIC is advising that Atlantic City Airport Control intercepted a radio transmission from an unidentified aircraft which indicated they were having engine trouble on the final approach to Hammonton Airport. Atlantic City Airport was not in direct communication with this aircraft and no further communication was received. Resources are currently unable to determine the validity of the distress call. Atlantic City radar data indicates an aircraft in the general area at the time of the distress communication. NJSP Southstar and Hammonton Police are searching the area surrounding the airport.
