Good day all hope I’m posting in the right forum I have a new sds100 and am having an issue when I first turned on the scanner I programmed it from the scanner itself using my zip code in ( Austin Tx) Later I used the sentinel software to clear the clutter well at first I was able to see the simulcast 1&2. After using the software and reloading the scanner I do not see them anymore only been able to get traffic on Austin/Travis site which is spotty and before wwhen simulcast 1/2 I would get more traffic. So was hoping someone can give some advice on where I went wrong. Thanks

GATRRS no longer operates Simulcast 1 and 2, they have moved all mission critical communications to Simulcast 7
Is that something you can listen to if so I don’t see it
If you 'just got a new' scanner, the database in the scanner is years out of date (from 2018). The out of date file would still show Simulcast 1 & 2 even though those are no longer accurate.The same applies when you first install Sentinel. Be sure, once you install Sentinel, that update the database in Sentinel & write the update to the scanner.
Thanks 1 more question I do not see simulcast 7 i hear stuff on the Austin/travis site should I just leave all the other sites off. And when I do stop on Austin Pd ch’s I see the traffic but no audio all the others I can. Sorry for all questions I used to follow this hobby years ago and just getting back into it
Austin PD traffic is now encrypted.
