Missing some Va. Beach Fire Dispatches

I am running a RS Pro-2050 to monitor the VAB trunked system. At the same time I am running a RS Pro-2022 to monitor the high band rescue dispatch (155.175)

When a rescue call is dispatched with fire I do not hear the call on the 800 fire channel (ID37936). I do hear the confirmation of the engine responding, but not the initial dispatch. This seems to happen all the time.

I have rechecked the frequencies, that are listed here on RR, all are correctly loaded in the 2050.

Obviously I am missing something here.

Bep..... It sounds like you might have the Status-Bit turned off? If you do there is another ID for you to use. If you check this fourm it is here somewhere.

Where does one add this ID group so all can benefit?

Not many ppl will use that ID... Most ppl have the status bit on and use the fire & EMS id's. Also for your info the EMS id is different also.

I understand that rescue has a different ID. Not being UP on radios/electronics (I do want to learn) I do not currently understand the "status bit"

EMS would be 45879... Most everyone here puts 37936 for fire and 45872 for EMS... without status bit 37943 for fire and 45879 for EMS.... You can thank Webodisk for this info.

Just searched my manual for the BCT15 and there is a brief description of status bits. Will set it to on and see what happens.

Bep.... meant to say that I had a 2050 years ago and it just had the basic stuff. It did not have the status bit or EOT like the new radio's do. Also the status bit is used for ID's that are mult. of 16... If you turn it off it treats the ID's different.

I activated my BCT15 to Satis Bit ON. I have found no difference, the radio still does not pick up the duel-transmit group.
