St Louis city and some SLATER users have used IO TG's in the recent past. City PD along with possible government police have used IO's on MOSWIN.

Recently SLATER users with St Louis Co and St Charles Co FD's also used and IO on MOSWIN. Not clear why they did not use their own. That incident was along the MO River on a SAR.

Much of the traffic is usually encrypted but many times traffic is in the clear and fairly easy to follow.

There could be many ways to attempt scanner programming.

I’d assume you’re meaning the analog interopabilty freqs. Aside from V FIRE 21, VMED 28, ajd VLAW 31 I think most are quiet with little to no use aside from routine tests. MSHP uses a channel they refer to as 700D. They use it for traffic flights sometiems aside from M TAC. They also tend to use 700D and other simplex for SWAT operations if the situation is small enough in area to use simplex.

The obvious ones:
VFIRE21, 22, 23 are used by the fire depts
VLAW32 used by law enforcement
VMED38 is still used for ambulance reports.

---
The remaining VCALL & VTAC frequencies are not regularly used, but may kick in outside the metro areas during large scale incidents.

7FIRE84D is the failsafe frequency for the fire depts in the SLATER region.
7CALL50D, 7TAC51D, 7TAC52D are programmed as alternatives to the trunking systems.
8CALL90 & 8TAC91 are setup as repeaters in St. Louis as part of the FBI 25 Cities program. I don't know the status of the systems.

The V-tac for EMS could still be used in rural areas. I was part of a group of ambulances that used the V-tac freqs in the Jefferson City area a few years ago.

The 84-D for SLATER is an emergency channel for crews but can also be used for secure ops if needed.

The challenge with VCALL/VTAC?etc is that they are simplex channels that are typically used for on-scene coordination. If you are not close to an event when one is in use; you typically will not hear any use.

The NIFOG Interops are typically used daily in our region; but if you aren't close to the incident, you won't hear it.
