I have programmed the Vehicle Repeaters/Extender frequency for the HP Cars in my scanner.

I guess this happens only when I'm close to a car. But I have picked up the NWS Weather stations on this frequency numerous times.
Is that how their 'vehicle' repeater is set up? to repeat the NWS Frequencies or what?

My second question I just answered myself, with some luck :D
I was wondering how much output power the Phillipsburg (Laclede County) Relay had.

20 Watts 211 Watts ERP.
Does UHF have a shorter 'reach' than VHF?

Keep in mind the UHF repeaters are using beams pointed right at the troops.. so 1) they don't need a lot of power to reach there point 2) you won't here them unless your right in the path from relay to troop

I am in between Rolla and Phillipsburg, but I'd have to check the map too see.

'straight shot' from Rolla to Phillipsburg is 61.7miles
I'm about 2.7 miles north of that line.
